When I started touring with the band a few years ago, I was so focused on the first release and everything that swirled around it I was swept away and left distracted by every direction but the future. Now that "Lonely Road" is available I can feel the tide start to rise again; only this time I'm ready to ride the wave.
Although I am thankful to be in our hometown for this epic milestone in our lives, I can't help but take a moment to appreciate all of… Continue
I remember the first time Ronnie and I went trick or treating together. We had just started dating during the summer band camp before I started my Freshman year of high school, and it was hell trying to convince my mother to let me hang out with the senior drum line captain for the late hours of the evening.
Never the less, our costumes were adorned and we were let loose to terrorize the small neighborhoods surrounding our own. We carried bulging… Continue
Ronnie left the bus early this morning and crossed into Canada with the rest of the guys for some important business stuff. I took a cab a few blocks away to a kinkos so I could ship stickers and briefs to have for the European tour. I ended up riding on the Maid of the Mist tour boat that takes you into the horse shoe of the falls along with the rest of the crew. I captured some pretty awesome photos which I plan on posting shortly...
I am now a fan of Indian Food. Brad talked Nate and me… Continue
Last night's show was at The End in Nashville, TN. Despite the appearance of the venue, the band sounded awesome. Casey actually installed the pa some years ago when he practically lived within a two block radius of the place. We ate at a Mexican food joint directly across the street that was awesome, and had a few beers at a place called the Gold Rush after the show.
We're on our way to Philadelphia now, spending the majority of our day off in the bus on the road. Even sleeping at 80mph… Continue
So far the tour has been awesome. The acoustic sets sound incredible, and the band sure is enjoying the full out college shows in between dates on the Unplugged and Unaffected Tour. I'm just getting over a cold myself - I always catch one when we come to the North East! - and everybody else is either catching it or halfway through the same sickness. I think everyone will be well by the time we're in the wonderful Florida sun again.
Today is a day off in Columbia, SC and with not much to do… Continue
Well, last night Club Hell in Providence Rhode Island had the pleasure of hosting RJA's acoustic cd release. I was told the venue doesn't normally book bands, but the show sold out anyway. It was an awesome turn out, and the crowd was probably the best of the tour so far!
The best part about working small venues like these is everybody who comes to the show gets to meet the entire band after their set. During the show there is a Q and A when a microphone gets passed around the crowd and… Continue
