ok so this is just my novice approach at explaining what i think of "believe"
i am not saying this is what the song is about, and im not saying ronnie meant any of this when he was writing it..
im just guessing. =]
ok, well even before the lyrics begin, just the melody that the song itself starts with is something to be noticed.
just really calm... nothing to get too over excited about, sorta a way to get you in the mindset of really getting hooked onto the lyrics.
music getting added to the drumming... adds a spin to it, and prepares you for the beginning of the song.
Aren't these some times?
It's good and bad.
And it's been
oppressing on my mind,
got me feeling sad.
But I know you know
that we could do more but we just don't.
Don't worry world I feel your pain, and its a shame,
My shoulders are hurt and stressed from the pain
And I know you now that you could do more
But you
introducing the listener to what the song is about, basically starting the journey.
explains that this is an issue that has been going on for a long time, and hes just getting down to writing about it... he knows that we could do more to prevent it from happening, but most of the time we don't.
recognizing that everybody in the world feels pain.. sometimes in ways that others can't even begin to imagine, and even though he can't be here for all of us, but he knows his music has helped change a lot of lives, and in that way he is there for us...
those who have sent him messages and told him about how his music has affected their lives have had the opportunity to open up to him so he sorta knows what we're going through..
of course, he has things that he is going through as well, so while hes trying to be there for us through his music, hes also feeling the stress of life to deal with..
and again... "i know you know that you could do more"
still recognizing that we COULD do more, but most of the time, for whatever reason it may be... just don't.
And I still believe
That there is more love than hate
There's more heart than ache
And we are stuck in this great big world together
With a little bit of help from up above
And a sprinkling of love
We can break these chains
We will end these days
probably my favorite part of the song... "i still believe that there is more love than hate, there's more heart than ache"
its really easy to interpret what hes saying by this [in my opinion] ... just sharing his belief ... and basically giving us hope for a brighter future
"we're all stuck in this world together" damn skippy. so we should just stop hating each other.
with a little hope, and a little love... and just a little patience as well... we could stop this endless cycle of hate and negativity ... and in time, the world may very well become a better place.
And I still believe
That there is a lot at stake, there's no time to wait
We can change the world if we try
We're gonna change it forever
straight to the point. what you believe is irrelevant.
there is A LOT at stake. there is no time to wait.
our men and women are out risking their lives fighting wars, defending us.
hundreds of thousands of people are losing their lives and we don't even notice anymore.... we noticed at first, but after awhile it faded into the background. thats pretty effed up if you ask me.
we need to stop being so judging, and hateful, and be more accepting and kind....
we CAN change the world forever. its like the domino effect. all it takes is one person.
You should join us
You, let it be you
Who will join us?
You, let it be you
join together. defeat the hate.
And I still believe.
thats all it takes. one person believing, one person taking the time out of their lives to reach out and express their thoughts on feelings on a very important subject.
ok, well. thats it.
lol. XD
once again, i know i may be totally wrong but this is just my thoughts on it. :D
I really love your review!
I'v got a lot to say about RJA song, but unfortunatly i don't know english enough, so i can't do difficult
review!xD
I'll always say: I love this song, and it is true-!
I'll admit. I got to hear this song and a few others before the cd was released. This one grabbed me from the start and it is my favorite song off the new cd. Very Motown. It reminds me of The Manhattans from back in the 70's. Not the words, not the beat...just the feel. The 'groove' if you wish to call it that. Maybe that's why I love this song the best. It reminds me of my favorite song of all times...Kiss And Say Goodbye by The Manhattans. I know most of you thought it would be an RJA song, huh? lol Sorry boys, it's kinda hard to top that one but Believe is really close.
