i just found out a very special person to me passed away. George was a close friend with my grandparents and to anyone he met. He was probably the kindest and thoughtful people i've ever known. he never thought of himself but instead he helped other, like he helped raise money for the local hospital. it was always nice just talking to him, he was so calm and collected you could talk to him about anything and he would know something about it, whether it was about history or how amazing the red wings were. and he always stayed ferm with his beleifs and opinions and nothing would change them. For someone who served in WW2, see all of his friends pass away, and loose both of his wives he was a very happy man, he never let anything keep him down and he was always optimistic. I'll never forget his visits when he brought us chocolate chip banana muffins, and my whole family would talk for hours with him about everything that was going on. or the times when he would take me and my cousins cherry picking. unfortunetly he grew very ill and about a week ago the doctors realize he had cancer. thankfully he didnt suffer when he passed away. overall George was one of the smartest, kindest, loveliest people i have ever known and i will never forget him.
RIP
