Philippines!!!

Hey everyone!
Since a lot of you helped me out by giving me information about the Philippines and the Leyte area, I thought I would tell all of you that I finally sat down with my dad and went over the trip information, and he said yes! I am officially going to be spending one month volunteering in Tanauan.

Oh, also, if anyone has any ideas of how I could start learning Waray before I head over there, it would be appreciated. I can't find any Waray courses online. >_/body>

I'm from Western Leyte and I've known some people from the Waray area but we communicate to them using the national language or by english. I don't know about the others though but I couldn't understand them even when our places are just a two-hour ride away :D

Unfortunately, my parents decided to back out on letting me go. -_-

I was very upset, cause I was just about to buy my plane ticket too...but I guess they thought it over, and didn't like the idea of me traveling alone...
