Didi Conn as Laurie Robinson in the movie You Light Up My Life (1977): "I learned something today, Pop. It was really painful, but I learned something. I learned that I have to depend on myself. I can't depend on anybody else and that's ok. You know why? Because I'm a really good person to depend on. Okay. It's a sappy movie but that speech made a lasting impression on this 15 year old. I can't find the exact quote but another standout line went something like....
"It takes someone really special to help you get over someone really special."

And on a lighter note...I was watching I Love Lucy the other day and she gave this quote that made me instantly go write it down cause although it was said in the 50's it rings true today.
Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo on I Love Lucy: Glamour today is just a tight skirt, loose hips, and wet lips!"
