They've been scheduled for a small-venue appearance at my school, and my journalism professor and I are going to try and get an interview. The trouble with this is that I've only heard three (maybe four or five) of their songs, and I can't come up with any questions as I don't really know anything about the band.

Unfortunately I was the only person in my class who wanted this interview. (Everyone else is excited over the Heads vs. Feds debate in November.) Since I couldn't come up with anything worthwhile to ask, I figured I would put it to the fans, in the event that something miraculous happens and I get the interview.

So, if you could ask them any question, what would it be?

you can ask them, how they were able to write the lyrics of their songs..how many days or months does it take to make a song..how's their relationship with each other..the craziest and embarrassing moment they had..how does it feel that people are embracing or listening to their music..simple questions like that but would tell something about themselves and the band itself..hope it helps you.. ;)
ask them about their new albumn, some inspirations 4 the songs and songs in there mind which are quite meaningful, also their new approach to music being alot different from their dont you fake it albumn
ask thme how there tour is going and whats coming up for them ask them what is was like to film their new vid. ask them
ask them if there working on a new album and how there new album is doing now ask them which songs they like the most
how come no one wanted the job
I'm not entirely sure, but considering how faithful their fans are, I think it's kind of unusual I was the only one to ask.
yeah, ask them about a new album, when they think they will come out with one, etc. and ask them about the sound of a possibly upcoming album, whether it will sound more like their second one, or first one, or both. maybe its something different altogether :) i cant believe no one else wanted the interview lol i would be all over that ;) oh and post their answers to some of your questions on here lol im sure all of us rja fans would love to know :D
Ask who influenced each of them, and what made them want to have an impact on other people's lives. It would be a good idea to listen to some more songs, you might end up liking more. ;)
"Was there ever a time where you felt like giving up, as a band?"
I would ask them why they feel the need to give you this interview. Seriously, You have a classroom full of Journalism Majors and not one bothers to do the first bit of research on the subject? I believe that's the first step in reporting. Oh, boo hoo for you getting stuck with it. We FANS could make a list of amazing facts and figures on RJA. Or, You could give it a real thorough glance at Wikipedia and hope and pray for no Fact Errors. Either way...I think it's time to change majors.

Firstly, journalism is not my major, nor was I ever intending it to be. This is a first year journalism class, for a community college, taught by an adjunct professor. Take a chill.

That being said, I think you're being slightly rude. Despite what you've taken away from my comments, I'm ecstatic over possibly getting this interview. The only thing that is even remotely worthy of a boo hoo is that I was the only person in my class who asked to do it. I wasn't 'stuck with it', as you suggest. Even my professor forgot about the band coming. I'm quite sure your child would balk at the thought of using Wikipedia for an article. It's simply too easy to edit a page and I wouldn't use it for article research if you paid me. I'm fully aware you guys know your stuff, and that's why I came here, and I'm very glad I did because you guys have given me loads of ideas, and I couldn't have come up with anything without you.
What do they want/need from their fans? What would it take for them to come meet me xD?
