I hope that you'll be able to make it some other time.  I know I have to make a 2-day trip of this event in order to go, so depending on how far away the venue is for you, I can potentially understand why the 'rents said no.

Tickets on Etix for 3 people: $45
My portion of gas: $20
Feeding 4 people for 6 hours: $25

Still being hoarse 2 days after the concert: Priceless

There are some things money can't buy.  For everything else, there's overdraft fees at my bank.
