Cliche as the Snow Falls

Staying up all night
Cell phone bills sky high
Hours at a time
I knew that you were mine

Sneaking around the bookshelves
Forbidden but oh so sweet
Breaking out for you, I'll go
Singing love songs in the snow

It's been a while since i wrote for you
But i guess it's something i need to do
To separate the false from real
Screamed out our lungs our need to feel

Bottle caps spinning in the movie light
We didn't care for what was wrong or right
We broke the laws and watched the clouds above
We never knew of what it was to love

We never fought too hard
For what we knew was right
You told me once before
You closed off all the light

We screamed our hearts out loud
And never cared for trust
The skin ripped from the past
The tears had turned to rust
