Why Apparatus? Why not just "The Red Jumpsuit"? Where does "Apparatus" come from?

they wanted a completely random name, it says on their website.

they didn't care about a name they just wanted to make good music. because they're sweet.

i mean without the apparatus they wouldn't be RJA they'd just be...RJ

yeah.. haha.. they're not like the other bands who put too much thought in coming up with a band name. their focus is on their music and not on having a cool band name.. although the name "Red Jumpsuit Apparatus" is pretty sweet. :')

ac2ly according to what ive read from an article its says that the name, "Red Jumpsuit Apparatus", was chosen by placing random words on a wall, and then blindfolding one of the members and choosing three words. As a result "Red Jumpsuit Apparatus" was pieced together.

and its pretty awesome.....^_^

Yeah, that's the way I heard it too. But the others are right too...I saw an interview with Ronnie and he said that it was kind of a joke but that all their fans liked it and told them if they ever changed the name they were sellouts so it stuck.

either way....it does have a nice ring to it....and who would EVER forget a name like thatt??

Its not the name that makes the band, its the music they play and they play good songs then the name gets liked, even though Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is a cool name anyway

hahaha most bands i love didnt seem to care when it came to choosing a name.
fall out boy got theirs from someone in the audience.
simple plan got theirs cuz one of their crew saw that A SIMPLE PLAN movie recently and yerr...
good charlotte got theirs from a book.
